My Garage Door Won T Open When I Press The Button

My garage door remote works great until glad comes on after the light times out it works again please advise me what to do thanks.

My garage door won t open or close the motor runs and the shaft turns bur doesn t engage the chain. Consequently the opener will not react to activation prompts if the settings are off and the garage door won t close. If you press the button and the door fails to activate something might be blocking the signal. Even after putting new batteries in the remote the garage door still is not.

Any ideas would be appreciated. Simple but true the remote transmitter needs power to send a signal to your opener. I tried resetting them but now the large button opens both doors at the same time. I have 2 craftsman 1 2 hp door openers each car has a remote and i am trying to get my remote to open with the large button on the remote and my wife s door to open with the other button. If pressing the button on your garage door s remote control doesn t work check the batteries first. It opens and closes manually terry on march 10 2017.
