Make Quilt Wall Hanging Sleeve

Stitching through the backing and batting slip stitch the sleeve along both long edges and the portions of the short folded edges that touch the back.

This video will let you hang your quilt with just one hook nail at the same time you make your binding. Stitch using a scant seam allowance. Fold the ends in twice and again to finish each end of the sleeve. Cut a strip of fabric 8 1 2 x the width of the finished quilt including binding you may need to piece fabric together if your quilt is large so for example if your quilt measures 48 across at the top cut a strip that is 8 1 2 x 48.

This new system requires some give in the sleeve on the quilt so the rod can slip over the hanging hook properly. To make a 4 wide sleeve measure the width of the top of your quilt.
